最近Kaufmanによつて実験応用されつつある角膜ヘルペスに対する新治療剤IDU （5—lodo—2'—Deoxyuridjnの略称）を使用する機会を得たので，その治験成績を報告する。
The effect of 5-Iodo-2'deoxyuridine (IDU) on the herpes simplex keratitis of man has been observed in 8 cases.
Six cases of dendritic and geographic map ulcer were treated with IDU by instillation of 0.1% solution every hour during the day. The lesion disappeared rapidly after 4 to 12, an average of 6.6 days.
In another cases of disciform keratitis or iridokeratitis, however, the effect of IDU were less marked.
