KM眼軟膏の使用経験

The ophthalmic use of KM ointment

　Kanamycin （以下KM）は1955年，梅沢等により発見された抗生物質で，各科方面からすぐれた臨床成果が発表されている。本剤は広い抗菌スペクトルを有し．グラム陽性菌，陰性菌及び抗酸菌に対し強力な抗菌力を発揮し，特にブドウ球菌（以下ブ菌）に好感受性を示し，他種抗生剤耐性ブ菌感染症にすぐれた効果を発揮することが報告されている。

　本剤の眼科的応用に就ては私共これまでしばしば報告し，結核性眼疾患や一般感染症に対する全身投与，点眼水や眼軟膏の局所応用によりすぐれた成果のあげられることを発表した。

The results of some fundamental and clini-cal experiments with 0.5% KM ointment were sumrnerized as follows.

(1) Antibacterial power of 0.5% KM oint-ment to several strains were measured by ag-ar-plate diffusion method using filter disc pa-per. The diameter of inhibition zone was al-most parallel with minimum inhibitory conce-ntration to each strains. Therefore, it was considered to be an useful method to examine the antibacterial power of an ointment itse-lf.

(2) 0.5% KM ointment was applied once or twice a day.
