緒言及目的
有害光線のうち赤外線及紫外線の眼に及ぼす影響については紫外線は眼瞼，皮膚，結膜，角膜，水晶体等に依つて吸收され，眼底に達する光は可視光と赤外線である。水晶体は最も強く紫外線を吸收する能力がありVogtに依ると赤外線は75〜80％は虹彩に2％は硝子体前面に，7％は網膜に達すると云う。水晶体にて吸收される赤外線の量は角膜，虹彩を透過せるものの3％であると云われる。又紫外線については所謂電気性眼炎，赤外線については赤外線白内障が知られているが，眼機能的方面については富田氏が赤外線に依る屈折性遠視性変状及調節力減退を招来すると述べて居られるが輻綾機能方面については報告が少く，中村教授は今回有害光線被曝者の比較輻輳力の検討を命ぜられた。而してその目的を要約すれば主として
1）有害光線被曝前後の影響如何
1) How is the influence of harmful light (mostly ultra-red, and ultra-violet) upon the amp-litude of convergencee ?
2) How is the influence during long time ?
3) How is tne influence comparing with contrast groop ?
Above mentiined points were studied experimentaly by Haploscop. From the results as fo-llows, it couldn't be concluded that these ligh would disturbe the amplitude of convergence but has shown some tendency.
1) The tendency of latent strabismus (Exophoria) has been noticed during and after working in both light. However it seems to due to fatigue.
