　顏面の骨欠損による皮膚の陥凹を整形する目的で合成樹脂を応用することは既に試みられているが，眼科領域では未だその症例の報告は多くないようである。

　私共も昭和28年4月以来3例に試みて良結果を得たので，大熊氏^1）の症例に追加する意味で報告すると共に合成樹脂片の固定に多数の小孔を作ることにより埋没後の移動を防ぐように工夫したのでこの点に就ても詳述する。

A successful prosthesis by use of methyl-acryl plate is petformad in 2 cases of traumatic injury that resulted in bony deformity of the orbital rim and 1 case of osteomyelitis of lacrymal bone that caused an invitable skin adhesions over the region as an aftermath. In order to ensure stability of the plate after insertion it was provided with numerous punched out holes in a hope that connective tissues may penetrate through them in their regenera-tion. The procedure by which the plate is prepared through the aid of a dental surgeon is discussed.
