要約　目的：新生児の涙囊炎に対し，新作したブジーで治療した報告。対象と方法：新生児集中治療室（NICU）に入院中で涙囊炎が発症した男児4例5側を対象とした。日齢は29～35日であった。長さが26・28mmで27Gのブジー型涙管洗浄針を鼻涙管に挿入した。結果：涙点を切開または拡張せずにブジーを挿入することができ，16～21mmの挿入長で全例で閉塞部を開放できた。涙囊洗浄液から，真菌とMRSAを含め，耐性菌が多く検出された。治療の翌日から涙囊炎は軽快した。副作用は皆無であった。結論：遷延した新生児涙囊炎に対する専用ブジーを挿入する治療は，有効で安全であった。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report the design and outcome of a new lacrimal probe in the treatment of neonatal dacryocystitis. Cases and Method：This study was made on 5 eyes of 4 male neonates who were admitted in the neonatal intensive care unit（NICU）. The age ranged from 29 to 35 days. The nasolacrimal duct was inserted by a newly designed 27-guage lacrimal probe of 26 to 28 mm in length. Results：The lacrimal probe could be inserted without incision or enlargement of the punctum. The nasolacrimal passage became patent by inserting the probe for 16 to 21 mm. Culture of the content of lacrimal sac showed resistant strains of microorganisms including fungus and MRSA. Dacryocystitis started to improve on day 2 of treatment. Complications were absent throughout. Conclusion：Our newly designed lacrimal probe was effective for persistent neonatal dacryocystitis.
