要約　目的：形状が同一で素材が異なる2種のAMO社製眼内レンズの成績の比較。対象と方法：白内障手術を同一術者が行い，6か月以上経過が観察できた103眼を検索した。眼内レンズには，アクリル性のAR40eと，シリコーン性のClariFlex^®のいずれかを使用した。結果：術後の惹起乱視，目標屈折とのずれ，角膜内皮数には両群間に有意差がなかった。眼圧は両群とも術前価よりも有意に低下した。後発白内障に対しレーザー切開術を必要とした症例数は，両群間に有意差がなかった。結論：今回検討した眼内レンズについては，光学部の形状が同じであれば，素材がアクリルでもシリコーンでも，術後成績に差がなかった。

Abstract.　Purpose：To compare the outcome of two implanted intraocular lenses（IOP）of same design and different material. Cases and Method：This retrospective study was made on 103 eyes that received cataract surgery by the same surgeon and that could be followed up for 6 months. The eyes were implanted either with acrylic IOL（AR40e）or silicone IOL（ClariFlex^®）. Results：There was no difference between the two groups regarding postoperative astigmatism,difference from the targeted refraction,corneal endothelial cell population,or the number of eyes that needed laser capsulotomy. The intraocular pressure decreased in both groups. Conclusion：The surgical outcome was same for two types of IOL of same design and different material.
