Abstract. Purpose:To report the outcome of simulated calculation for the error of intraocular lens(IOL)in eyes with previous LASIK. Objects and Method:A total of 134 eyes treated by LASIK served as material for simulation study. They were calculated for adequate IOL power by using keratometric values before and after LASIK. The formula SRK/T was used throughout. Results:IOL power calculated based on post-LASIK values was smaller by 2.25 diopters than that based on pre-LASIK ones. The refractive error shifted by 1.93 diopters on the spectacle lens. Error in IOL power calculation was positively correlated with the refraction before LASIK and induced changes by LASIK. Conclusion:IOL power is underestimated when calculated by data after LASIK. Hyperopic shift is greater in eyes receiving greater amount of ablation by LASIK.
