　稀な疾患である急性黄斑神経網膜症（acute macular neuroretinopathy）の4例6眼を過去4年間に経験した。年齢は25～55歳，平均34歳で，男性1例，女性3例である。初診視力は0.01から1.0に分布していた。6眼すべてに，暗点と一致する黄斑部外層の網膜に赤色の円形病巣があり，黄斑以外には異常がなかった。最終視力は初診時のそれとほぼ同じであった。発症の誘因として，食物アレルギー，膀胱炎に対して抗生物質を1か月内服，妊娠などがあった。本疾患にはさまざまな誘因が関与している可能性がある。

　We observed acute macular neuroretinopathy in 6 eyes of 4 patients during the past 4 years. The series comprised one male and 3 females. Their ages ranged from 25 to 55 years,average 34 years. The initial corrected visual acuity ranged from 0.01 to 1.0. All the 6 affected eyes showed a well-demarcated red round lesion in the outer layers of the macula. Its location corresponded to the subjectively observed central scotoma. No abnormalities were present outer to the macula. The visual acuity stayed the same throughout the course of observation. Onset of the disease was preceded by variable episodes including：food allergy,prolonged use of antibiotics for cystitis,and pregnancy. There is a possibility that various pathogenetic feature is involved in this clinical entity.
