Abstract. Purpose:To report a case of acute macular neuroretinopathy(AMNR). Case and Findings:A 39-year-old female presented with acute impairment of visual acuity in her left eye since 7 weeks before. Her corrected visual acuity was 1.5 right and 0.4 left. Funduscopy showed a round reddish patch in the fovea. Scanning laser ophthalmoscope(SLO)showed decreased reflex in the fovea. She noted glistening in the center of Amsler chart. Automated perimetry and multifocal electroretinography(mERG)showed decreased sensitivity in the fixation area. Optical coherence tomography(OCT)and magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)showed normal findings. These data led to the diagnosis of AMNR. There has been no subjective or objective change during 3 months until present. Conclusion:SLO and mERG may be useful in the diagnosis of AMNR.
