　35眼にlaser epithelial keratomileusis（LASEK）による屈折矯正手術を行った。術前の球面屈折度は -1.25Dから-11.50D，平均-5.77D±2.31Dであった。術後31眼（89％）で1.0以上の裸眼視力を得た。平均球面屈折度は，術後1週間で＋0.43D，1か月で＋0.50D，3か月で＋0.19D，6か月で-0.11Dであった。1眼に上皮フラップ遊離が生じた以外には重篤な術中合併症はなかった。術後に角膜上皮下混濁が22眼（63％）に生じ，そのうち4眼（11％）が一過性に再近視化した。LASEKは術中の合併症が少なく，良好な裸眼視力が得られるが，上皮下混濁が高率に起こるなどの問題点がある。

　We treated 35 eyes by laser epithelial keratomileusis（LASEK）. The spherical refraction ranged from-1.25 to-11.50 diopters（D）,average-5.77±2.31 diopters. The cylindrical refraction ranged from-1.25D to-2.25D,average-0.84＋0.60D. Unaided visual acuity of 20/20 or over was attained in 31 eyes（89％）. The spherical refraction averaged＋0.43D after one week,＋0.50D after one month,＋0.19D after 3months,and-0.11D after 6months. There was no serious intraoperative complication except flap-like detachment of corneal epithelium. Postoperatively,subepithelial opacity developed in 22 eyes（63％）,4 eyes of which（11％）developed transient myopia. The findings show that good visual acuity can be expected after LASEK with minimum intraoperative complications. Postoperative subepithelial opacity,which occurs at a high frequency,is a major problem.
