　神経学的に異常所見を認めない30〜79歳までの200例において，Magnetic resonance angiography（MRA）を行い，MRAの血管描出における加齢や高血圧の影響および血管描出能の脳血流に対する影響を検討した。MRAにおける血管描出状態は，描出良好（grade 4）から描出不良（grade 1）までの4段階で評価した。内頸動脈，中大脳動脈水平部，中大脳動脈末梢部のMRA描出能と年齢の間には負の相関が認められ，加齢によって血管描出能は低下した。また，高血圧の既往は各血管の描出能を有意に低下させた。一方，非高血圧群においても，中大脳動脈水平部，中大脳動脈末梢部の描出能は加齢とともに低下していた。また，中大脳動脈末梢部のMRA描出と中大脳動脈灌流領域の脳血流の間には有意な相関関係を認めた。MRAにおける脳血管の描出は加齢とともに低下し，動脈硬化の関与が考えられた。

MR angiograms from 200 neurologically normal subjects aged 30 to 79 years were analyzed to assess the influence of aging and hypertension on the degree of the visualization of the cerebral arteries. The de-gree of MR visualization of the cerebral arteries, in-cluding the IC, M1, and distal MCA, was evaluated on a 4-degree scale. IC and M1 differ in appearance.The MR gradings of each cerebral arteries showed a significant (p＜0.001) negative correlation with age.Hypertension, which is a risk factors for arteriosclero-sis, significantly reduced MR grade.
