緒言

　類上皮腫は脳外科であつかう腫瘍としては比較的稀なものである。なかでもdiploicepidermoidは極めて稀である。類上皮腫の詳細な記載は1829年，Cruveilhierに始まる。これより9年後の1838年，Müllerの類上皮腫の報告例中にintradiploic epidermoidの症例が認められ，これが板間類上皮腫の初めての記載と思われる。以来，諸家の報告をみるが，頭蓋内類上皮腫に比して稀れで，現在まで文献上70例をこえていない。本邦では数例のみである。

　文献を通覧すると，嚢胞の内容についての詳細な報告はすくなく，特に血腫を伴う例は我々の症例以外認められない。

A case of diploic epidermoid cyst contaning hema-toma was reported. Such epidermoid is extremely rare, no other case having been reported prior to our precent report.

In this paper, we are intended to clarify the patho-genesis of diploic epidermoid with hematoma, and to discuss symptomatology and treatment of this neoplasm.

CASE ; This 55 year-old female was admitted to our neurosurgical clinic with slow growing soft mass at the left retroauricular area. She had had mini-mal headache and dizzy spell while finger pressure on the soft mass. Neurological examination was negative except perforated ear drum with minimal conductive hearing loss. Roentgenography studies revieled erosion of the left temporo-occipital bone just above mastoid cells. Angiography showed cuboidal avascular space occupying extradural mass at the left retro auricular area. A diploic epider-moid cyst was diagnosed.

A temporo-occipital craniectomy was performed. At operation, there was extradural cystic mass con-taining chocolate colored liquid and hematoma. Total exterpation of the cyst was succesfully car-ried out. Her post operative course has been un-eventful.
