　私がここで脳波というのは，基の別出した脊髄の電気活動則ち脊髄波l'onde spinaleのことであり，同期性活動というのは，周期の同じきれいな波が連続して出現しているのを指す事を予め断つておきます。唯，同期性波に就いて人間の大脳から墓の別出した脊髄のもの迄，現象の類似はその根底にあるメカニズムの類似をも示すだろうと考えて，脳波という言葉を用いた。

This is only an experimental report concer-ning the synchronized activity of isolated spi-nal cord. The synchronizing effect and the maintaining effect of the evoked synchroniza-tion of applied sodium ion on the non-synchro-nized activity are described. And in the elec-trical activity of spinal mass the proper frequ-ency and resonance frequency based probablyon the neuronal chains are supposed.It will be thought that the mass responds at rest with the former, in slight stimulation with the latter, and in strong stimulation with desynch-ronization. Moreover the action of sodium ion as the environmental and stimulative condition is described.
