要旨

　大腸内視鏡検査および内視鏡治療における偶発症は，消化器内視鏡検査の避けられない側面である。この総説では，大腸内視鏡検査に関連する偶発症を，前処置に関連するもの，観察を目的とした検査に関連するもの，内視鏡治療に関連するものに大きく分類し，概要を述べる。また頻度の低い稀な偶発症についても可能なかぎり述べ，有事の際に迅速に対応できるようになることを期待する。

　Complications in colonoscopy and endoscopic treatment are an inevitable aspect of gastrointestinal endoscopic examinations. This review classifies the complications associated with colonoscopy into those related to pre-procedures, those associated with examinations intended for observation, and those related to endoscopic treatment, and provides an overview. Furthermore, it aims to describe even the rare complications with low frequency as thoroughly as possible, in the hope that this will enable swift responses in the event of an emergency.
