80歳以上の超高齢非小細胞肺癌患者における体幹部定位放射線治療の成績

Outcome of stereotactic body radiotherapy in octogenarians with non-small cell lung cancer

近年，画像診断の進歩やがん検診の普及，また他がん種治療後の経過観察などにより，早期非小細胞肺癌（本稿では0～ⅡA期とする）が発見される機会が増加している。

The standard treatment for stage Ⅰ～Ⅱ non-small cell lung cancer（NSCLC）is surgical resection. However, stereotactic body radiotherapy（SBRT）is recommended for stage Ⅰ～Ⅱ NSCLC patients who are medically inoperable or who don’t wish to undergo surgery. It is expected that NSCLC patients will become increasingly elderly in the future, so we retrospectively investigated the effectiveness and safety of SBRT in patients aged ≧80 years. From Oct 2018 to Apr 2023, we treated total of 6 patients, 4 males and 2 females. The median age was 84（range：80～92）, and median follow-up was 24 months. One local failure and 1 Grade 3 radiation pneumonitis were found. SBRT was feasible in patients aged ≧80 years with NSCLC with good local control and acceptable toxicity.
