放射線皮膚炎について

Radiation dermatitis

癌の治療をはじめとして，放射線治療は腫瘍に対する選択性の高い局所治療であるが，体外から照射して治療を行うことが多いため，放射線皮膚炎は避けては通れない副作用である。しかし，放射線皮膚炎を起こす機序，危険因子，予防と生活指導，分類，そして治療などに関して包括的にまとめた論文は本邦において少ないことが現状である。本稿ではこれらを最近の知見も交えて総括し，特に本邦と海外において大きく異なる予防法についても触れてみたいと思う。

Radiation dermatitis is a major side effect of radiation therapy.

The pathogenesis of radiation dermatitis involves a combination of direct radiation injury and subsequent inflammatory response.

Wearing loose fitted clothes, avoiding tobacco, and weight control are required to prevent radiation dermatitis. When radiation dermatitis is evident, topical steroid agents（ex. ointment or lotion）lead to significant reduction of radiation dermatitis.

Since daily use of topical moisturizer（ex. Heparinoid cream）leads to improve the dryness and discomfort of radiation dermatitis, recommendation of skin care is crucial.
