強酸性水による放射線皮膚炎への影響

Effect of strongly acidic water on radiation dermatitis

強酸性水は高い安全性をもち，強力な殺菌^1）と皮膚再生能力の改善など^2）3）を目的として皮膚炎の治療に用いることがある^4）。今回，乳房全切除術後の放射線治療部位へ治療終了直後より他院で強酸性水を使用し，放射線皮膚炎の回復が遷延した症例を経験したので若干の考察を加え報告する。

We report a case that used strongly acidic water as a cure for radiation dermatitis. The patient was a woman who suffered from right breast cancer T2N0M0 stage Ⅱ in her 60s. We performed post mastectomy radiation therapy（PMRT）50 Gy in 25 fractions and a boost to the tumor bed 9 Gy in 3 fractions because it was close to muscle area, followed a typical mastectomy and a right axillary lymph node dissection. One month after irradiation, she used strongly acidic water given by some doctor and did not recover from radiation dermatitis. When we provide patient care to the skin after radiation therapy, we should be careful about the use of strongly acidic water.
