外傷性上顎洞異物2症例

TRAUMATIC FOREIGN BODY OF THE MAXILLARY SINUS

Ⅰ．緒言

　副鼻腔異物は戦傷によるものを除いては，空気銃弾によるものが圧倒的に多く，その他のものは比較的まれである。

　今回われわれは2例の外傷性上顎洞異物症に遭遇した。1例はグラインダー（回転砥石）の破片であり，もう1例は眼鏡のガラス破片であつたが，前者は陳旧例であり，後者は新鮮例であつた。この2例について報告するとともにいささかの考按を加えた。

　Two cases of traumatic foreign body of the maxillary sinus are reported. In one case the patient, aged 34, while working was struck in the face by a piece of grinding-stone that broke off accidently and had lodged in the maxillary sinus for the ensuing period of 9 months before coming to its operative removal. In the other case, also while working, a piece of glass broke off to lodge in the maxillary sinus. The foreign body was removed 10 days after the accident. In both cases the patients made uneventful postoperative recovery.
