外傷に依る上顎洞異物例（岩石片）

　緒言

　耳鼻咽喉科領域の異物は稀有なものではないが一般に副鼻腔の異物はその局所解剖学的関係上，戦傷に起因するものを除いて平時に於て之に遭遇することは比較的少い。

　上顎洞異物に就いて，本邦に於て報告された種類は空気銃弾，竹片，木片，植物茎，螺旋ボルト牛骨製編棒片，歯用セメント，鉗子破片，綿紗，ゴム栓，金属円筒等の他に戦傷に依る小銃弾，迫撃砲弾片，手榴弾片，機関銃弾更に斎藤氏の骨片留弾，歯牙，土砂，布片等がある。

MAKINO reports a case of foreign body of maxillary sinus which occurred from trauma-tic injury. The patient, aged 25, while working in an engineering project as alaborer where dynamite explosions were used for bl-asting rock cliffs, was struck in the face with a piece of flying rock. The external wound on the face healed without event but the piece of rock that had entered the maxillary sinus remained there for the period of 105 days without any subjective symptoms. It was finally removed by a radical operation performed on the antrum.
