上顎癌（眼摘）術後に発生した緑膿菌性髄膜炎の1例

MAXILLARY CANCER WITH POSTOPERATIVE COMPLICATION BY PSEUDOMONAS MENINGITIS

Ⅰ．緒言

　最近抗生物質の進歩により，広域抗菌スペクトルを有するものの使用が多くなり，そのための菌交代現象の結果であろうか，かつてはあまり問題とされなかつた弱毒菌がはびこり，われわれの領域でも緑膿菌を始めとするグラム陰性桿菌ではしばしば悩まされている。しかし緑膿菌による髄膜炎はまれなものとされ，Root^1）は1523例の髄膜炎中1例を見，桜井氏^2）によれば同氏の症例を含めてわが国では37例の報告があるのみである。

　著者は上顎癌の術後に緑膿菌による髄膜炎で不幸な帰転をとつた1例を経験したので報告する。

　The contents of the right ocular fossa had to be evacuated one month after the operation of cancer of the maxillary sinus in a man, aged 67. Following the second operation the patient became affected with cerbrospinal infection by invasion of pseudomonas aeruginosa organisms. The patient was treated by per oral and parenteral administration of colistin, gentamycin and various other similar antibiotics; polymixin B was given intraspinally. For a time the patient showed some improvement but finally died after 1 month following the second operation.
