上顎洞歯科材料異物の1症例

A Foreign Body (Guttaperchapoint of Dental Material) in the Maxillary Sinus

　緒言

　上顎洞異物に関する報告は，耳鼻咽喉科および歯科・口腔外科において多数みられ，その原因としては外傷によるものや歯科治療時の偶発的な侵入により発生するいわゆる医原性のものが多いとされている。異物の種類も多種多様である。最近われわれは，鼻閉を訴えて来科した患者のX線写真上，偶然上顎洞内に，あたかも寄生虫のごとき形態の異物が存在し，種々検討した結果歯科治療剤のガッターパーチャポイントであった症例を経験したので文献的考察を加えて報告する。

A female aged 33 years complained of nasal dis-charge, and X-ray showed a foreign body, which looked like a parasite, and chronic inflammatory change in the maxillary sinus. The foreign body, 5cm in length, was removed by Caldwell-Luc's operation. By analysis of component of the foreign body, it was thought to be guttapercha-point of dental materials. Other reports of similar cases in literatures are reviewed and discussed.
