左右上顎洞を連絡するトンネルの形成を見た1症例

A TUNNEL FORMATION OF THE MAXILLARY BONE CONNECTING THE BOTH MAXILLARY SINUSES

　Ι．緒言

　歯性嚢腫の外来診断の下に手術した結果，左右の上顎洞が歯槽突起にトンネルを形成し，交通している興味ある症例に遭遇したのでその大要を報告する。

　With diagnosis of maxillary sinusitis the patient, a girl, aged 16, was operated upon by Caldwell-Luc operation. During the operative procedure a depression was found on the medial side of the sinus floor and by probing this depression, presenting very little resistance, a tunnel was revealed that lead towards the sinus cavity on the opposite side. Connection of the two sinus cavities was confirmed by performing another Caldwell-Luc operation on the opposite side.

　The authors surmise that this tunnel was most likely formed by destructive root abscesses of the various tooth involved.
