小児慢性副鼻腔炎の病巣感染について

　I．まえがき

　扁桃の病巣感染の問題については従来より多数の研究があり，本邦においても最近5ヵ年間に60有余の報告がみられる。また昭和26年4月の日耳鼻総会における扁桃性病巣感染に関する野坂教授の宿題報告や斎藤，向野両助教授の指名講演などによつて，本問題の結論が期待されるところである。

　一方慢性副鼻腔炎が病巣感染巣になり得るということは近年ようやく注目されるに至り，本邦でも堂野前^1），佐藤^2），松本^3），大石^4），野村^5），白川^6），布村^7），野坂^8）氏等により，系統的な臨床検査によつて，その存在が少しずつ明らかになつて来た。しかしなおその発生機序などについては未だ充分に解明されていない点もある。

From a systematic clinical study of chronic sinusitis among children the authors state that this disease is capable of serving the foci of infection. One hundred and twelve cases of chronic sinusitis among children were treated by operative method. Ten percent of theses cases by EKG examination showed myocardial involvement before the operation ; and following the operation 80% of this number recovered completely. By PSP test about 10% of the patients showed nephritic involvements; by BSP test 11.6% showed liver involvements. The role of allergy in the mechanism of focal infection is discussed.
