Ⅰ．緒言

　副鼻腔炎に対する酵素療法は，近年まさにブーム化してきた感があり，相次いで多くの臨床成績が発表され，耳鼻咽喉科領域の論文もすでに100余編を越えている。報告者によりその見解は多少ことなるが，一応効果があるということには意見が一致している。

　私たちもすでに一部検討してきたが，症例によっては有効の場合があることを認めている。しかしいかなる作用機序によって効果を現わしてくるかということについては，いまだ釈然としない根本周題が残されている。

　Enzyme treatment of paranasal sinusitis is still an unsolved problem. The present study is concerned with clinical observations of the results in the use of various enzyme drugs that may be protein-splitting and reacting on mucopolysaccharides in treatment of sinusitis. Used in the treatment of sinusitis of singular cavity the drug appeared to be effective; and,it seemed to be effective, also, in treatment of sinusitis among children. In postoperative treatments, the drug was best administered at the beginning of the 2 nd and 3 rd week. The effectiveness of the drug was also tested by cytological test of the nasal discharges.
