所謂振子様口蓋扁桃の1例

　1885年Juraszが口蓋扁桃部より有茎性に発生した振子様腫瘍を報告し，1898年Finderが之等に振子様扁桃なる名称を与えた。以来内外に可成りの報告例を見る。一般には扁桃自身が有茎になるのか或いは母扁桃より茎をもつて振子様乃至ポリープ様に懸垂した扁桃と同一組織を有するものを云うのであるが，臨床的にはこの外に単に有茎性良性腫瘍をも引きくるめて所謂振子様扁桃として居る。私は左口蓋扁桃より発生した有茎腫瘍で組織像が線維腫様であつたものを経験したので報告する。

　症例：矢部某，42歳，文筆業

A pendulous tonsil is found in a woman aged 42 The patient complained that she had breath-ing difficulties especially at night when in a re-cumbent position. The pendulous portion of the tonsil was found to be thusly formed by outgrowth of the tonsilar tissues from the upper pole with pedunculation. The patient recovered uneventfully after tonsillectomy.
