I．はじめに

　振子様扁桃は，1885年Jurasz^1）によって鼻声を主訴とする18歳男性の症例が最初に報告され，1898年にFinder^2）が振子様扁桃と命名した。以来，さまざまな報告がなされ^1～13），現在では3型に分類されている^3,4）。1型は扁桃自体が振子様に突出しており，真性振子様扁桃と呼ばれている。2型は口蓋扁桃から扁桃組織の一部が有茎性に突出しており，扁桃腺と同様の組織を有している。これらに対し，3型は扁桃とは異なった組織が突出しているものである。今回，われわれは喉頭蓋に達し，組織学的に線維腫と診断された振子様扁桃の1症例を経験したので報告する。

　A patient with pedunculated palatine tonsil complained of throat discomfort. The fiberscopic examination revealed a mass derived from the upper part of the right palatine tonsil. Magnetic resonance image revealed a mass in the mesopharynx. The mass was excised under general anesthesia. The histological examination indicated that the tissue was composed of fibroma. After the surgery,he complained of no throat discomfort. The patient is now under observation as an outpatient.
