聽力増進保存的根治手術

　慢性中耳化膿症，特に真珠腫性中耳炎を手術的に治療するには，通常，中耳根治手術が行われていたのであるが，私は1昨年来，之等に対する聽力増進中耳根治手術を提唱して，慢性中耳化膿症の手術的治療として専ら聽力増進手術を行つて来たのである。

　而して慢性中耳化膿症，真珠腫性中耳炎の内，その病変が主として乳樣洞に存在し，小耳骨の病変を伴わない症例に対しては，一般に聽力保存根治手術又は保存的根治手術と称せられる手術法の行われるのが常であつた。

GOTO proposes a new method in the technic of mastoidectomy with which he has been suc-cessful not only in conservation of hearing but that it caused an imrovement. He names this method Mastoidectomy with Hearing Coserva-tion and Improvement. Indications for opera-tion, technic and results of operations are re-ported with a few case reports. This report also covers the method of making skin graft-ing for early epithelization of the operative wound that is simplified and made practical. As the grafting is accomplished at one sitting the time required for operative procedure is shortened with quite an extent.
