耳石溶解の基礎的研究

　緒言

　最近耳石に関する研究は佐々木教授，宮田氏の耳石の本態に就ての報告を始め，大川内，牟田，松尾，藤原氏等の報告に作り，著しい発展を示したが，尚重曹水による耳石溶解の理論及び迷路組織に対する作用機転等に就ては未だ多くの問題を残している。私共は次の種々藥物により耳石溶解の試験管内実験的観察を行い，次の結果が得られたので茲に報告し，諸賢の御批判を抑ぎたいと思う。

YAMAMOTO and TAKEDA, on study of solvents with which to dissolve otoliths come to following conclusions: Otoliths are not dissolved by use of sodium bicarbonate solutions in spite of any modifica-tion that may be made thereto.

They are partially dissolved by 10 to 20 percent solutions of sodium citrate.

They are completely dissolved by Mutzrel (phonetic traslation from Kana ward) solution used for tissue fixation.

They are partially dissolved by Whitmack's solution provided that it contains no glacial acetic acid.
