Ⅰ．はじめに

　頸椎管狭小症は近年単独の病態としても注目されるようになってきているが，本症と頸椎症の合併した病態については古くからよく論じられてきた．頸椎癒合症には，先天性，後天性のものがあるが，多くの場合あまり臨床的に問題にされることはない．一方，椎骨動脈狭窄ないしは閉塞，とくに2nd segmentにおける閉塞は比較的頻度が少ない^9）．われわれは以上の頸椎管狭小症，頸椎症，頸椎癒合症，左側椎骨動脈閉塞症を合併した症例を経験したが，一見無関係にみえるこれらの異常病態が発生学的な見地よりなる考察によりて相互間にある種類の関連存在すると思われたのでここに報告する．

A case of cervical canal stenosis accompanied by congenital cervical fusion and extracerebral occlusive disease of the vertebral artery was reported. A 39-year-old male was admitted to our hospital on June 5, 1976, because of his shoulder strain, motor weakness and numbness of his left hand, and gait disturbance for a couple of months. Neurological examination disclosed spastic paraparesis with positive pyramidal signs in the four extremities which was greater on the left side, and the superficial and deep sensations were diminished below C-4 dermatomes bilaterally.
