There have rarely been reported about the developmental course of a traumatic cerebral aneurysm. This paper presents a case of traumatic true aneurysm of which development was documented by several angiographies taken after head injury.
On September 3, 1973 a 15-year-old boy was hit on the left jaw with immediate loss of consciousness followed by generalized convulsions, and was admitted to the hospital 5 hours later, when he was delirious with mild nuchal rigidity. The first carotid angiograms showed an irregular stenosis of the supraclinoid segment of the left internal carotid artery.
