Lafora型ミオクローヌスてんかんの尿中複合糖質の生化学的研究

Biochemical study on the urinary complex carbohydrate of the myoclonus epilepsy (Lafora-body type)

I．はじめに

　Lafora（1911）がミオクローヌスてんかん患者の脳細胞内に特有の封入体を発見して以来，Lafora型ミオクローヌスてんかん（Lafora病）は近年その報告例が増えてはきているが，いまだ100例以内で，今日なおまれな疾患に属し，その本態については，複合糖質の代謝異常（Yokoi，1968；Rallo，1968；Schnabel，1971）または複合脂質の代謝異常（Janeway，1967）などが考えられているが，なお未解決のままである。

　著者らは多くのLafora小体の組織化学的研究（安楽，昭41；難波，昭41；Schnabel，1971）の中で，ほぼ共通している所見，すなわち，PAS陽性およびAlcian blue陽性という検索結果から，複合糖質の中で糖蛋白質に注目し，本症における尿中の糖ペプタイドについて検索した。できれば脳脊髄液および血清などを検索するのが望ましいが，患者に負担を与えず，大量の資料が比較的容易に入手されやすい尿を対象とした。

　Complex carbohydrate in the urine of the myoclonus epilepsy (Lafora-body type) and of the myoclonus epilepsy (degenerative type) were assayed by determining the carbohydrate content of material which remained after proteolysis.

　The myoclonus epilepsy patient (Lafora-body type) excreted the glycopeptide at the rate of 15.9±7.2mg/day as hexose content and 4.4±1. 9 mg/day as sialic acid content, and excreted the glycosaminoglycans at the rate of 4.5±1.5mg/day as uronic acid content, respectively.
