53歳，男性が超音波検査にて偶然発見された左腎腫瘤の精査および治療を目的として受診した。患者は4年前に甲状腺癌にて手術を受けた既往があった。左腎細胞癌と診断して根治的腎摘出術を行ったところ，術後の病理診断は甲状腺癌の腎転移であった。
A 53-year-old man referred to our department for close examination and treatment of a solitary left renal tumor which was found by ultrasonography by chance. Four years previously, he had undergone surgery for thyroid cancer. We performed radical nephrectomy under the diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma. Pathological examina-tion revealed the tumor as the metastasis of the thyroid cancer.
