インターフェロンα，γ併用療法により肺転移巣の消失を示した腎細胞癌の1例

COMPLETE REMISSION OF LUNG METASTASIS FROM RENAL CELL CARCINOMA BY A COMBINATION TREATMENT OF INTERFERON α AND γ: A CASE REPORT

　症例は66歳，女性。左腎細胞癌多発肺転移に対し，左腎全摘術を施行。術後インターフェロン（IFN）α，γの併用療法を施行した。4週間の併用投与で転移巣の縮小を認め，以後IFNαの単独療法に切り換えたが，6か月後に肺転移巣はほぼ完全に消失した。本症例においてIFNα，γ併用療法が奏功した要因は，肺転移であったこと，腎摘を施行したことのほか，比較的短期間に集中投与したことなどが考えられ，併用療法は進行性腎癌の治療として有効と思われた。

A 66-year-old woman underwent left nephrectomy for renal cell carcinoma with lung metastasis. After the operation, combined therapy with interferon-α and -γ was performed, and the lung metastases responded well. Interferon-γ was stopped after 4 weeks because of complications, and she received interferon-α only as an outpatient. All lung metastases disappeared within 6 months after the start of treatment. Spontaneous regression of metastases most commonly occurs in the lungs after nephrectomy. Combined therapy with IFN-α and -γ might be effective for inducing regression in these patients.
