インターフェロンで完全寛解した腎細胞癌，肺転移

64歳，男性．左腎細胞癌にて根治的腎摘除術を施行後，インターフェロンαによる術後補助療法を6ヵ月間施行．補助療法終了後，約1年後に多発性肺転移が出現したため再びインターフェロンαを投与したところ，投与開始14ヵ月後に肺転移巣の完全消失を認めた．以後10ヵ月間再発を認めない．
A 64-year-old male with stage I renal cell carcinoma of the left kidney was treated by radicalnephrectomy and postoperative adjuvant therapy using alpha-interferon for 6 months. Multiple pulmonarymetastases developed in about one year after the adjuvant therapy. Therefore, the alpha-interferon wasadministered again and the metastatic lesions in the lung disappeared completely in 14 months. Since then,relapse has not been identified for 10months.
