腎細胞癌には多房性嚢胞状の特異な形態を呈する場合がある。自験例は51歳，男性に発生した腎癌で，病理学的に詳細に検討した結果，多房性嚢胞状腎細胞癌と診断した。この型の腎細胞癌と多房性腎嚢胞に発生した腎細胞癌との鑑別について論じて，これまでの報告には混乱があることを指摘した。
Renal cell carcinoma occasionally presents specific multilocular cystic form and presented here is such renal carcinoma which developed in a 51-year-old man. Detailed pathological examination of this case led to the diagnosis of multilocular cystic renal cell carcinoma. Differentiation of multilo-cular cystic renal cell carcinoma from renal cell carcinoma developed in multilocular renal cyst was discussed and confusion in the concepts in those hitherto-published reports was pointed out.
