腹部CTで偶然発見された腎細胞癌に関する検討

OBSERVATIONS ON THE RENAL CELL CARCINOMAS INCIDENTALLY DISCOVERED BY ABDOMINAL CT

緒言

　腹部CTあるいは超音波断層法で偶然発見された無症状の腎細胞癌が最近，しばしば報告されるようになつた^1〜3）。当院では最近2年未満の期間に腹部CTで偶然発見された腎細胞癌を12例も経験した。異常な現象に驚いて，これらの症例からえた資料を検討してみた。その結果，二，三の興味ある点に気づいたので報告したい。

We observed 12 cases of the renal cell carcinomas incidentally discovered by abdominal CT for the last about 1 year. The number of cases corresponded to 0.4% of 2,525 patients examined by abdominal CT for this period. The incidence was very high. Most patients had the diseases of the digestive organs. No macroscopic hematuria was seen in any cases, and even micoscopic hematuria was observed in only 2 cases. In retrospect, all of these cases detected by chance could be diagnosed by ultrasonography or renal angiography, but only 3 cases by IVP. The tumor was 3.0 to 8.0cm in size.
