サーファーにみられた外耳道完全骨性閉鎖の1例

Complete Obstruction of the External Acoustic Meatus in a Surfer:A Case Report

　はじめに

　外耳道に慢性的な冷水刺激を受ける潜水夫，海女，サーファーなどに外耳道の骨性閉鎖を生じることがある。その本態は外耳道外骨腫（以下，外骨腫と略）として論じられ，いわゆる外耳道骨腫（以下，骨腫と略）とは臨床的にも病理組織学的にも明確に鑑別し得るとした報告が多い^1〜3）。今回われわれは，頻回のサーフィン歴があり，骨腫とも外骨腫とも明確に診断することが困難であった外耳道骨性完全閉鎖症例を経験したので，文献的考察を加えて報告する。

Complete obstruction of the external acoustic meatus was found in a young man who had frequent surfing experience.

At the first examination, the left external acous-tic meatus showed a complete obstruction, but his hearing level was completely recovered following operation.

In this case, the clinical findings suggested exos-tosis of the external acoustic meatus, but the patho-logical features were compatible to osteoma. The differential diagnosis between these two diseases was difficult in our case.
