　緒言

　耳鼻咽喉科領域で取り扱う多形腺腫（混合腫瘍）は唾液腺原発の腫瘍が大部分である。

　外耳道に発生する多形腺腫は比較的まれで，その報告はあまりない。今回われわれは，多形腺腫と診断した外耳道腫瘍の1例を経験したので報告する。

Pleomorphic adenoma of the salivary gland type, located at the surface of the external auditory canal, is rare. A 63-year-old male presented with pleomorphic adenoma, originating from the left external auditory canal. This tumor had been pre-sent for 15 years. The tumor with overlaying epithe-lium was totally removed under local anesthesia. The size of the tumor was 18×14×10 mm. Only 7 cases with the same tumor have been reported in Japan.

We discussed mainly the origin of pleomorphic adenoma at the skin of the external auditory canal. It was strongly suggested that the tumor in the present case was the salivary gland type because any structures of skin were not histologically detect-ed.
