当教室における聴器癌13例についての検討

Thirteen Cases of Carcinoma of the Ear

　はじめに

　聴器に発生する悪性腫瘍は，頭頸部領域の悪性腫瘍のなかでも稀な腫瘍であり，また聴器が解剖学的に複雑な構造と機能をもち，内頸動脈や脳硬膜などの組織に近いために治療に困難をきたすことが少なくない。そのため聴器癌に対する治療方針は各施設によって異なり，一定の方針がないのが現状である。

　今回われわれは，1981年から1993年までに琉球大学医学部耳鼻咽喉科学教室で経験した聴器癌13例を分析し，治療法および予後について検討したので報告する。

Thirteen patients with carcinoma of the ear were treated at our Department from 1981 to 1993.

The primary sites were the external ear canal in 10 cases, the middle ear in 2 and the auricle in 1. Asthe results, 8 patients survived, 4 patients died of primary disease and 1 patient survived with primary disease.

It was considered that subtotal temporal bone resection provided better treatment result, and that efforts to diagnose carcinoma of the ear at early stage and to assess the tumor invasion preoper-atively was important.
