　はじめに

　下顎・上顎骨・顔面骨の骨腫瘍は比較的まれである。なかでも巨細胞腫（Giant Cell Tumor）は長幹骨の骨端部に好発するが顎・顔面骨における発生はまれとされている。

　われわれは，上顎骨に発生した巨細胞腫の1例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

A 37-year-old pregnant housewife was com-plaining of a swelling and dull pain of the left cheek. Histopathological examination from a maxillary mass showed giant cell tumor. The tumor was originated from the left maxillary alveolar ridge. In this paper we reported the clinical and histological findings of the case with review of the literature. This tumor showed a progressive growth during pregnancy but no recurrence was noticed post-oper-atively.
