特異な形態の骨新生を認めた原発性上顎洞嚢胞症例

A Case of Maxillary Sinus Cyst with New-bone Formation

　はじめに

　副鼻腔疾患で新生骨を認めることは遊離骨片をはじめとして以前より知られている^1,2）が，われわれは上顎洞嚢胞に特異な骨新生を伴った1例を経験したので報告するとともに，新生骨の形成について検討したので報告する。

A 28-year-old male presented with a primary maxillary cyst with a cup-shaped new-bone for-mation. This new-bone fragment was inside the original maxillary wall and CT scanning des-cribed it as a double-layered wall.

The histopathological examination revealed that the cyst wall showed chronic inflammation, and there were some bone fragments in the fibrotic tissue layer of the deep mucosa. They showed different stages in ossification. It suggested that the inflammation and fibrosis had an important role in new-bone formation.
