（26C2-21）　集簇性軟性ドルーゼンが両眼にある2症例に対してアルゴングリーンレーザーで光凝固を行った。患者の年齢は70歳と76歳である。中心窩から耳側に位置するドルーゼンに光凝固を行った。光凝固後2〜4か月で，直接凝固したドルーゼンは消失した。直接凝固しなかった中心窩領域のドルーゼンは，凝固後2か月から縮小しはじめ，7か月後には消失した。光凝固で軟性ドルーゼンを消失させることが滲出型の加齢黄斑変性症の予防につながるのではないかと考えた。

We treated 2 bilateral cases of confluent soft drusen in the macula by argon green laser photocoagulation.The patients were aged 70 and 76 years each. Photocoagulation was directly applied to the drusen located temporal tothe fovea. The treated drusen disappeared 2 to 4 months later. Drusen in the fovea, which were spared from photocoagula-tion, started to regress 2 months later and disappeared 7 month after treatment. Resorption of soft drusen by photocoagula-tion is expected to prevent eventual exudative type of age-related macular degeneration.
