We performed perimetric glare test to evaluate glare disability in 12 normal phakic eyes and 40 eyes who underwent cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation. The operated eyes received either of 6 different intraocular lenses: 6 mm no hole lens , 5.5 mm no hole lens, 5.5×6.5 mm 2 hole lens, 5.0×6.0 mm no hole lens and 2 types of three piece silicone lens. The degree of glare dis-ability was least in phakic eyes and increased, in the ascending order, in eyes with 6 mm no hole lens, 2 types of silicone lens, 5.5 mm no hole lens and 2 types of ovoid lens. The extent of glare disability was least in phakic eyes and increased, in the ascending order, in eyes with 6 mm no hole lens, 2 types of silicone lens, 2 types of ovoid lens and 5.5 mm no hole lens. Subjective glare disabilities were present in 1 case with 5.5 mm no hole lens, in 1 case with 5×6mm no hole lens and in another with 5.5× 6.5 mm 2 hole lens.
