Palinopsia is the persistence of visual images after the visual object has been removed. This condition has been very rare. In this presentation, three patients of palinopsia are reported. All cases had the right parieto-occipital lesions: the cere-bral infarction, hemorrhagic infarction and tumor. In all cases, left homonymous hemianopia and unilateral spatial neglect were observed. Asym-metry of the optokinetic nystagmus was present in two cases. Detailed analyses of complaints and detection of these complicated signs were impor-tant for the diagnosis of palinopsia. We emphasize that palinopsia is liable to occur in the parieto-occipital lesions.
