出生体重1,500g未満の低出生体重児における未熟児網膜症の発症と治療成績

Incidence and therapeutic outcome in infants with birthweight less than 1,500 grams

　当院NICUに過去2年間に入院した1,500g未満の低出生体重児82名について，未熟児網膜症の発症率と治療成績を検索した。出生体重1,000g未満の超低出生体重児は43名，それ以上の極小低出生体重児は39名である。入院中に死亡した13名を除く69名で，未熟児網膜症が45名（65％）に発症した。発症率は，超低出生体重児32名中30名（94％），極小低出生体重児37名中15名（41％）であった。超低出生体重児19名37眼と，極小低出生体重児5名10眼の計24名47眼に光凝固を行った。全例で瘢痕期1度以下の治療成績が得られた。

We reviewed 82 infants with birthweight less than 1,500g admitted in NICU of our institution during the foregoing 2 years. The series comprised 43 infants with birthweight less than 1,000g (group A) and 39 infants weighing between 1,000g and 1,500g (group B). Retinopathy of prematurity developed in 45 out of 69 surviving infants (65%). Its incidence was 94% in group A and 41% in group B. Photocoagulation was performed on 47 eyes of 24 infants comprising 37 eyes of 19 infants in group A and 10 eyes of 5 infants in group B. All the eyes resulted in cicatricial grade 1 or less.
