運転中に鉄片異物が飛入した症例

A case suffering from intraocular-iron foreign body in left eye at the moment of driving his car

　30歳男性が乗用車を運転中に，左眼に異物が当たる感じを受けた。放置していたが，2日後に左眼に視力低下と眼痛が生じて受診した。角膜縁に切創があり，前房蓄膿があった。X線検査で前眼部に異物が同定された。感染症に対する薬物治療の後，受傷8日目に異物除去を行った。異物は鉄片であり，経過は良好であった。

A 30-year-old male felt a foreign body sensation in his left eye while driving a passenger car. He sought medical advice due to ocular pain and blurring of vision two days later. A perforating wound was present in the corneal periphery. Hypopyon was present. X-ray studies showed a foreign body in the anterior segment of the eye. After medication for intraocular infection, an iron fragment was extracted on day 8 of injury, resulting in gratifying final outcome.
