超音波の眼内鉄片異物摘出への応用

Ultrasonic Application for Detecting Intra-Ocular Foreign Body

I．緒言

　眼科領域の超音波診断法は，眼球構造の計測的応用と網膜剥離，眼内腫瘍，眼内異物，その他透光体混濁を伴つた眼疾患の診断的応用とがあり，多くの研究者に依つて行なわれている。診断法としての臨床価値は現在のところ眼内異物の診断に有用性が見出され，超音波の特性が最も生かされている。

　超音波の眼内異物診断は，Baum＆Greenw—ood^1），Oksala＆Lehtinen^2），Nover＆Stall—kamp^3）によつて詳述され臨床的価値が強調されている。

Although x-ray examination for intra-ocular foreign body has been known as one of essen-tial tool for diagnosis in detection and locali-zation of foreign body, this is still far from our satisfaction in obtaining an accurate resu-lt. Sometimes it is difficult or impossible to locate intra-ocular foreign body by x-ray exa-mination. In these cases ultrasonic method is very useful. In our clinic, ultrasonic examin-ation has been carried out for this purpose since 1962.
