　網膜色素変性症の黄斑部変化として，中心窩反射の消失，網膜上膜の形成，萎縮巣，浮腫がみられるが，黄斑全層円孔の合併は稀である。筆者らは，定型網膜色素変性症に黄斑円孔を合併した2症例を経験したので報告する。一般に網膜色素変性症では10歳代でも高率に後部硝子体剥離がみられるが，本症例では後部硝子体が未剥離であったこと，また円孔周囲に網膜上膜がみられたことから，網膜色素変性症に合併した黄斑円孔の病因として，特発性黄斑円孔と同様に，硝子体牽引の関与が示唆された。

Full-thickness macular hole was diagnosed in two eyes of two females aged 21 and 45 years. Both patients manifested typical features of retinitis pigmentosa. There was no posterior vitreous detach-ment in either case. The macular hole was associated with epiretinal membrane in the posterior fundus. It appeared that vitreous traction was a major factor for the macular hole in the present cases of retinitis pigmentosa.
