  • Look Inside

We performed ICG angiography using a scanning laser ophthalmoscope. The series included 41 eyes with suspected choroidal neovascularization (CNV): 35 eyes with age-related macular degene-ration, 2 with angioid streaks, 2 with high myopia among others. ICG angiography with SLO identified CNV in 40 of 41 eyes. In the early-phase ICG angiogram, CNV appeared as lacy, coil-like,or branched vasculatures in 28 eyes. Identification of feeder vessels to the CNV was possible in 28 eyes. CNVs showed poor leakage of ICG dye except in 26 eyes with active CNVs which showed extravasation from the NVs and from their vici-nity.
