ぶどう膜炎患者における抗犬蛔虫抗体の陽性率

Incidence of anti-toxocara antibody in uveitis

　ぶどう膜炎の初診患者110例について，免疫電気泳動法，およびELISAを用いて血清中の抗犬蛔虫抗体を測定したところ，25例（23％）が抗犬蛔虫抗体保持者であり，臨床症状をも考慮して6例（5.5％）を眼犬蛔虫症と診断した。病型別では，中間部ぶどう膜炎の38％，限局性後部ぶどう膜炎の30％が眼犬蛔虫症であった。抗犬蛔虫抗体陽性例の男女比は約2：1で，男性に多く，年齢分布では，10歳以上の各年齢層に認められた。抗体陽性者のうち，ペットの飼育歴をもつものは47％，生肉摂取の生活歴をもつものは41％，これらのいずれかを有するものは82％であった。

A series of 110 cases of various types of uveitis were examined as to anti-toxocara antibodies with immunoelectrophoresis and enzyme-linked im-munoadsorbent assay (ELISA). Antibodies were positive in 25 cases, 23%, of which 6 were diagnosed as ocular toxocariasis based on clinical features. Ocular toxocariasis involved 38% of intermediate uveitis and 30% of focal posterior uveitis. The male to female ratio was 2:1 in cases with positive antibodies. The ages were distributed evenly from the second to the 7th decade. In the cases with positive antibodies 47% had the history of keeping pets and 41% had consumed raw meat; 82% either kept pets or consumed raw meat.
